How ShareQuik works
Three steps, and nobody needs an account.
Step 1: Add files or text
Drop in files up to 100 MB in total, paste up to 3,000 words of text, or both.
Step 2: Get an 8-character code
ShareQuik uploads your content and gives you a unique code. Send it by message, email or phone.
Step 3: Recipient enters the code
They type the code into ShareQuik on any device to read the text and download the files.
Simple file sharing without the setup
ShareQuik is for the moments when you just need to get a file or some text to someone, now.
No account for anyone
Neither you nor your recipient signs up or logs in. Open the page and share.
A code instead of a link
Two letters and six digits are easy to read aloud, text, or type on another device. No long URLs to copy.
Files and text together
Any file type up to 100 MB per share, plus up to 3,000 words of text in the same share.
Temporary by design
Shares last 3 days, or up to 15 if you extend them, and are then deleted automatically.
Privacy and security, plainly explained
Keep in mind that anyone with a share code can open that share until it expires, and files are not scanned for malware. For confidential documents, put them in a password-protected archive first. Our page on sending files safely without an account explains how.
- Private storage.Uploaded files are not publicly accessible. They are only delivered through a download that checks the share code first.
- Guessing is blocked. After a few wrong codes, a connection has to wait before trying again, so guessing codes at random is impractical.
- Automatic deletion. When a share expires, its files and content are permanently deleted from our servers.
- No accounts or profiles. We ask for an email address only when you extend a share, send feedback, or download files as a recipient.
What people use ShareQuik for
Move files between your devices
Get a photo or document from your phone to a laptop, or onto a shared or public computer, without logging in to anything on it.
Send work to clients and colleagues
Hand over a file to someone outside your organisation without asking them to create an account first.
Share notes, snippets and text
Pass along meeting notes, a block of code or a long message as text, alongside any files that go with it.
Quick one-off transfers
When a file only needs to reach someone once, a short-lived share avoids leaving another copy online indefinitely.
